Florida Governor Rick Scott Tours Mitsubishi Power Systems Americas’s Orlando Facility as a Prime Example of Manufacturing Technology Job Growth in the State


Mitsubishi Power Systems Americas, Inc. (MPSA) today hosted Florida Governor Rick Scott as he was welcomed by hundreds of employees during his tour of the company’s 225,000 square foot Orlando facility to underscore MPSA’s role as a leading example of job growth in the state’s crucial manufacturing and technology sector.


MPSA employs approximately 900 employees in Florida and since opening its doors in 2001, has made a capital investment of tens of millions of dollars in the State. The company is a recognized global innovator in power generation technology with a workforce that is considered the benchmark for excellence in an industry that demands extraordinarily high manufacturing standards. Mitsubishi’s power generation products include the J-series gas turbine which is the most powerful and efficient gas turbine in the world.


The MPSA Orlando facility is the service headquarters for the company’s fossil power generation business throughout the Western Hemisphere. Within its complex, MPSA provides gas and steam turbine parts, repair, project and support services to fossil, geothermal and nuclear power generating facilities throughout North and South America as well as manufacturing selected component parts for gas and steam turbines. A substantial part of the business performed at the Orlando facility reaches beyond from the U.S. and into markets such as Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador and the Dominican Republic.


As it continues to grow its international business from Florida, MPSA is also an active member of a number of business organizations that advocate on behalf of investment, job growth and a welcoming business climate in the state including the Manufacturers Association of Florida.
